CAFA Mofangyan Night
On June 15, 2024, with the wholehearted support of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) Art Museum, Beijing Mofangyan Technology Co., Ltd successfully held the “2024 ARTogether - CAFA Graduation Season Mofangyan Night” special event. This event showcased the power of remote-controlled telepresence real-time interaction technology, offering audiences an unprecedented exhibition experience and marking the beginning of a new era in tech-empowered art viewing. For the first time ever, people from around the world could freely explore the CAFA Art Museum in Beijing from the comfort of their own space.

Founded in 1918, the Central Academy of Fine Arts was the first national school of fine arts in China and the cornerstone of Chinese modern fine arts education. The New York Times has called it “China’s most prestigious and renowned art academy.” The academy comprises six specialty schools: Fine Art, Chinese Painting, Design, Architecture, Humanities, and Urban Design. Each year, the academy hosts a Graduation Season Show, showcasing the final artworks of its graduating students.

The 2024 ARTogether special event attracted around 10,000 attendees, including artists and tourists from South Africa, France, and America. More importantly, over 300 people were able to enjoy the artworks via Mofangyan. At the event, CAFA professors and graduating students offered guided tours, explaining the implications and meanings behind each artwork to both physical attendees and those joining via Mofangyan.

Mofangyan enabled people from all over the world to enjoy CAFA students’ stunning artworks. For the first time, individuals from Rome, London, Boston, and beyond could freely explore and appreciate Chinese art, giving the CAFA Graduation Session a global impact. An art teacher from a high school in Boston said this about her experience using Mofangyan: “I loved ‘being there’ and interacting with the people and their kids, as well as seeing others enjoy the art side by side with me.”

The ARTogether special event was more than just a perfect symphony of art and technology; it was an exploration of the ability to showcase art to people in every corner of the world. Mofangyan’s advanced real-time interaction system broke down physical barriers, allowing the fascination of art to spread further than ever. Art, knowledge, and emotions have no physical boundaries. Looking ahead, we are committed to bringing more unique and surprising remote interactive experiences in exhibition viewing, shopping, and working to people around the globe. We thank all the attendees and participants for their support in making the “2024 ARTogether” special event a success, and we sincerely appreciate the wholehearted support from the CAFA Art Museum.
